The manufacturer, expedited the repair of both guns by installing new front sites. Both guns were fixed within a weeks time.

Shot both guns today with no issues.

Sig has had both my 226 and 320C slides repaired and returned to me this week. There was only one issue with the returns at this time, being they shipped my a legions slide for the 225 earlier this week.

They have shipped the correct slide overnight to be delivered today. I am very happy that they turned these around in one weeks time after my email to the company.

I am still a bit concerned on there guns quality and will think twice before I purchase another gun from them. I will be shooting both of these this weekend and will consider the issue closed after testing.

I spoke with Sig today, and after i had sent my email over the weekend they seemed to have a different opinion of the front sites coming loose. It was indicated that this was a known issue and they are working on a fix.

In addition, my first slide was completed today for shipment instead of 4-6 weeks that i was originally given. The complete slide was renewed with new, and they promised me that the front site was not going to be an issue this time.

They have given me the label and the 320 slide was shipped today 2nd day air, and not ground to speed up the process. More to come.

I have recently purchased the new Sig Sauer P226 and the 320C both with the reflex sites factory installed. I have had issues with both guns having the front iron site come loose. In one instance it fell out of the gun, and the other it became loose and was noticed when my shots were straying using the iron sites.

I have written the following email to Sig recently as a follow up to the second gun I had purchased to be faulty. It use to be when you bought a Sig you knew it was a well built gun, but as of late it seems that they are forfeiting quality to quantity. I have heard this from other people, but i was not certain this was the case. I have purchased there guns several years ago and i had no issues. The service representative were very helpful and had knowledge of the product and were always willing to help and answer questions.

This has been quote the opposite since i recently had issues with 2 guns that i purchased with the same issue of the site being loose. I did have a second issue I had with the 226 was a stripped hole in the slide for the Romeo 1 site. In this instance the representative did not think it was an issue and said he would send me some screw, even after i told him that i had checked with a new screw and it was beginning to damage those threads. I have exhausted several avenues with the original issue on the P226, and basically in both instances have been given a 4-6 week lead time for repairs.

I have attached a short video of the movement of the 320 site movement along with a photo of the 320 and a photo of the 226 with the site falling out to one side.

I do have the receipt for the 226 purchased 07-Jan-2018 and the 320 purchased 19-Mar-18 if needed.

This does no seem to be the Sig that i was accustomed to for several years. When you are paying this kind of money for a gun you expect the gun to operate as advertised, but it seems that Sig Sauer may be going down a different path with there new leadership.

To note i have tried calling and emailing Sig Sauer with no response to my emails and then i do get in touch with an adviser, they indicate that the wait time is standard lately and there have not been any of these issues with there fire arms.

I will be following up with them this week, if i do not hear from them first.

Dated 25-Mar-18

""Good Day,

I purchased a Sig 320C the other day figuring the loose front iron suppressor site with the 226 was just a one off. I have attached the previous emails from this issue, I had with the 226 which seems to cross over to other guns. At this time it seem to only include the slide for your factory installed Romeo with the suppressor sites. The 226 slide is now back in your facility to make a repair or replace the slide, which seems to be a damaged thread for the Romeo 1 site in the rail.

I have put about 200 rounds thru the 320 over the past 2 days and noted that the target hits were a bit erratic while using the irons sites on the first day. I did not have time to look closely into this issue, but when I returned to the range Sunday to take a closer look I noted the same looseness on the front suppressor site. I have attached a short video which shows the front site movement. I also had another question, regarding the torque value for the Romeo site which I have yet to receive a solid answer for at this time. The manuals I have to date, indicate 28 in/lbs., but I have been unable to get confirmation if this is correct for these small screws. If you can kindly advise to the proper torque value.

At this time I have 2 guns that are listed below, both have or are having the same issue to date with the front iron suppressor site being loose. I have asked and been told this was not an issue with the P226. After recently purchasing the 320C. I think this goes farther than just the first gun and seems to be an issue with the gun slides with the Romeo 1 optic with the suppressor sites in this instance. I am quite amazed, I have 5 sig guns in my collection and for some reason I am seeing a quality control in the most recent guns I have purchased. This makes me very concerned about the quality of the sig fire arms. If the issues I am having are only happening to my guns I would be quite surprised and I am certain this is happening more frequent than it is let on.

I am also very concerned that when my gun slide has re-arrived back at Sig that I am getting the same lead time of 4-6 weeks. Now at this time the 226 gun has been apart with the slide being shipped to your facility and in your facility more than I have had possession of the gun. I am beginning to think this is the new norm for the Sig brand and buyer beware.

I had quite a gathering at the range when I found the first site loose and even a much larger group to see the 320C with the same issue. If you can imagine how the word of mouth can damage a companies reputation, just imagine that I had both guns to actually show them during my discussions. Some of the members were taking photos and videos of the issues, so I am not certain where these will end up. In addition the customer service and lack of communications was also discussed. This last time I sent my 226 slide it was shipped ground versus 2nd day as is normal for Sig in the past.

Please advise if I will need to call in for the 320C or if the above and attached will cover the same. I am becoming quite frustrated with Sig, there quality and customer service. I would like to either have these guns have permanent repairs immediately, or for Sig to refund my money for the guns as soon as possible.

I copied several departments and the adviser, being your web site does not give out emails for correspondence and as I have had trouble getting straight answers from the customer services representatives that I have been spoken with or sent emails to.

Please advise soonest on the corrective action going forward, and how Sig plans on doing business in the future.""

Whew, dude, that complaint is far too long to read in its entirety ... I've never had a problem with Sig Sauer but I don't doubt that you did - everything seems to be crummier and less durable than previous iterations...Ruger has been my problem with a mini-30 that never did fit right with professional gunsmiths having trouble reassembling and a .22 bull barrel that was a drag to maintain because of the sear spring not fitting well...Good luck but now you've modified the pistol in an attempt to repair it (even at their request) and will likely be rejected from warranty service.

Thanks for the input, and i agree a lot of words for 2 guns with loose front sites and one with a stripped thread.I am not sure what you are referring to regarding the modification i made. I do not recall me indicating i modified anything upon there request.

I tried another screw from a new Romeo 1 site that i had to assure the screw hole had an issue, but no modifications.Yes, i have heard numerous complaints from gun shops with there quality control over the last 1-2 years, but had not seen it, so assumed it was not the case. Now i have seen it first hand, but it seems to be just with the factory installed romeo 1 site rails with the suppressor site, which is the case in both of the pistols referred to above.

They have already admitted to me that it was improper machine work originally when it was refitted, and said they have not had issues. So when i saw the same thing on the 320, 2 entirely different guns with the same factory installed romeo site it seemed like a QA issue. Thanks for your input.
